Our Story Begins In The East

Our head chef, John studies Chinese culinary arts in Shanghai in 1985 and has been in the food business for the last 25 years.Moved to the UK in 1995, John is dedicated to showcase the most authentic Chinese food to the West. 

John's culinary philosophy is simple, yet very high standard. 

Locally sourced - Flaming Wok used only the finest ingredients sourced locally for our customers when possible, aiming to support local business and serve the freshest Chinese food.

Health - John insists on using in-store made meat stock for seasoning as health is a key element in his culinary philosophy. This dramatically decreases the use of MSG and sodium in all our dishes.
